SPOILERS STILL 8U Even if Jin and Citan aren't related... but remember:
Fei isn't related to Abel, Kim, Lacan... except in the sense of past lives, so that's what I mean by my theory of this being true for Citan. Granted, Grahf was rambling about being able to possess Kahn easily because of similiar genetics or something. I was a little confused on that, maybe Perfect Works will clear it up. Though, if a person dies without having children, technically their genetics will have died... and not to mention that during Kim's era, humans were having trouble reproducing. So I'm not sure what the hell Grahf was talking about XD
About the wave contact and Elly... doesn't that sorta conflict the reason why Elly came in existence. Abel wanted someone... like, a mother to be there for him. Zohar produced Elly (hell, she appeared within Zohar's eye...) and as I understand it:
Zohar grants the person's strongest desire. Abel got Elly... and ah, let's see... this may have to do with what happened to Lacan as well. Lacan went insane from losing Sophia/Elly and felt powerless about it and he asked Zohar for power. This screwed him up as his physical body died from it and he became Grahf. (It does make sense why Grahf is always granting people powers, eh?) I don't know what Kim would have done but I don't think he could have been able to go out looking for Zohar... Unless Zohar responded to what was in his heart and buried the whole city. They didn't say how the city got buried, did they? If they did, I missed it because Xenogears tends to like, really throw so much at you that it still takes a while to digest even after this time. (Not a bad thing, it makes you think a lot. Xenosaga seems to be lacking in this department which is a little weird.)
Also, I'm up to Babel Towel-- Tower. (No seriously, I unconsciously refer to it as Babel Towel >.<) Babel Tower really sucks when you're playing on a tiny screen so it's difficult to time jumps but I managed to actually land on the roof of that one long box (first room in the dungeon) to get the chest with the ThunderRodG which I couldn't do before. Stupid Babel Tower. Yeah, it's been a long time since I've played it as well, but the normal board I go to is dedicated to Xenogears. I don't know if you've heard of it. Here I'll give you the link and you can check it out if you want to. It has all kinds of information on Xenogears. www.xgam.orgAlso from what I know: Lacan didn't die when Grahf came about. I read (I think) somewhere that once Grahf seperated from him that he died of old age, but again I'm not entirely sure.Well congrats. Is this your first niece/nephew?

First nephew, yeah.
Spoilers again--AUGH BOARD TURNED ORANGE.
I thought Lacan basically died from coming into contact with Zohar because of his grief and it destroyed him, only leaving behind his rage... Grahf.

I thought Lacan basically died from coming into contact with Zohar because of his grief and it destroyed him, only leaving behind his rage... Grahf. I don't think so. He simply died of old age. They became two different people entirely. It seems as though the Contact is constantly having psychological problems. Grahf continued to live on in kind of the same vain as a parasitic organism. They'll use a host until it dies and then find a new one. And of course the Contact kept getting reborn.

Hmm. I guess I'll have to go through the script really fast because I could've sworn that Lacan did not survive the contact with Zohar. And that Grahf wanted to reunite with Fei. Speaking of which, the xenogears script is here: www.xgam.org/xenogears/script/

I was going to do the exact same thing, but it's been so long since I've played it, I don't remember which part of the game that they explained that at. Hopefully you'll be able to find it.

Found it!
ID We, his descendants, who inherited his lingering thoughts and memories from him, know only too well... Divided 500 years ago... He would become a part of us both... Lacan became Grahf. He destroyed everything on the face of the earth. He then mastered how to possess the bodies of others by dwelling in their minds. He was probably enabled to do this after his contact with the 'Existence'. The bodies died but Lacan's spirit continued living by possessing others. He had come that day to return his soul, at last, to the perfect reincarnation of his physical body... The body of 'Fei'.
GRAHF "This is what Lacan wanted all along. After all, I'm an imperfect existence. It was inevitable that it would come to this... considering what had happened in the past. Lacan's imperfect secondary contact with the Wave Existence split his personality into two. Eventually his body died, but the original Lacan transmigrated... Bringing the destiny of becoming a Contact with him, he was reborn as your present body. The remaining persona, just his desires, lived on separately by possessing the bodies of others. That is Grahf... that is me. I may have inherited Lacan's will, but I'm not the same as the 'Contact Lacan'. It is impossible for me to make real contact. There would be no true melding and release. Even though our bodies may be different, I am still half of you. That fact remains. Although I'm imperfect, I can merge temporarily with Zohar, and thus may be able to buy you some time. This is the only way I can be one with you."
So technically, we're both right. Grahf did lose his original body (it doesn't really say how) but he did have to keep on body-hopping.) ...and it's really weird with Fei actually confronting Grahf who is Lacan. I feel like I walked into some time paradox that flipped me upside down. @_@

That's pretty crazy. I'm glad you found it.
Is that when he's fighting him at the end? When we finally find out that Khan (Fei's father) is a part of Grahf?
