Update: Nov, 23 2007: Return of the Ghostbusters is out! -------------------- Freddy vs the Ghostbusters may very well be the best fan film ever created in the history of all fan films. It's funny, clever, has great makeup/costumes/props and is very entertaining. It reminds me so much of the old 80's Ghostbusters films which is a really good thing. Screw GB3 and Freddy vs Jason. This movie is the sequel that should have happened. www.braxtanfilm.com/fvgb.htmlCheck it out.

WHAT THE?!
... I don't say screw Freddy Vs Jason or GB3.. I don't think these two should EVER meet.. what kind of strange mind would even think this was a good idea!?
Makeup was decent, really good for an indie project. (a fan film no less.)
still.. what the hell?!

Did you watch it?
It's very true to both series.. (in my opinion). It's the best fan film ever created..and the fact that it was a bizzare idea (as you said, they shouldn't meet) makes it more interesting.

I dont really have time to watch the whole thing now but i look forward to seeing it!

I dont really have time to watch the whole thing now but i look forward to seeing it! I don't remember exactly what he is.. I always thought of him as a dream demon.. but in this, they say he's a dream ghost that can kill (obviously). Of course their way of disposing of him is pretty much like all of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies.. so hey, it's definantly got an 80's feel to it.

A higher quality quicktime version that is 200mb has been released today, for those who don't want to fool with the Windows Media Player version. You can find it on The Force Net's site. The link is listed below. www.theforce.net/theater/nonsw/fvgb/index.shtml

The bloopers and alternate endings were put online. The bloopers are great and has got me wondering. What is it about filming stuff with your friends that generates so much laughter? I mean, seriously. I remember when we were out there making McBilly Bob (or what little we could) and all the laughter that ensued (even on camera). After watching these bloopers I'm reminded of it and just think it's kind of funny that as soon as the camera is on people go crazy with laughter (or doing things that will bring out tons of laughter). Oh well. They're worth checking out if you enjoyed the film.

WOO!! The same guys who made "Freddy vs the Ghostbusters" is creating another one called "Return of the Ghostbusters" starring the same cast from the first one. This one is going to be a full-length movie (running at 80 minutes or longer) and is sure to be awesome. The trailer is already out, so I highly recommend checking it out. www.braxtanfilm.com/ghostbusters.html
