I have heard NOTHING about this movie. I plan on reading some reviews here in a few tho. I know that its a remake of one of the George A Romero film of the same name, so Im expecting lots of gore. The original was a laugh riot tho. Im hoping for a nice remake in the same vien as the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. anyhow, anyone seen this or read a reveiw? Lemme know.

I went and saw Dawn of The Dead yesterday, shortly after posting this thread.
I found it to be a pretty good movie. I like the way the media is portraying Zombies now, makes for a more believable experience. I mean how do you not escape from a slow as a snail Zombie?
Its nothing like the original really, but it was pretty much what I had hoped for in the remake so I was happy. Still want to know what everyone else thinks.

I think zombie movies are pretty much all the same, like Resident evil (Ok its not REALLY a zombie movie...) and 28 days later had almost the same plot after you take away the action and all...
The best zombie movies are still the old ones, as you said, they're pretty funny.

Yeah they need to bring back old style Zombies. These days its always some evil virus doing everything, and Zombies can run and chase you around, which is a neat idea really, since its hard to imagine anyone getting caught by a slow moving zombie (even hordes of them.) However the whole Virus thing is getting old already, and yeah the whole Resident Evil survival thing is getting kinda old too. Really tho, what are you left with if you take all that out of a Zombie movie? ... Ack my brain hurts now...
BRAAAAAAAAAIIIINS.....

Saw the Unrated Director's Cut twice now (once at Dead's house, and again yesterday (we bought it)). It's prety cool, I like it.
I'm not sure if I have seen the original or not, so I'll see if I can borrow that later today when I go to Dead's house.

Shaun of the Dead is great. It's a British movie and ... a comedy about zombies! Best part: Shaun and his friends are going through RECORDS (as in huge vinyl records) to throw at the zombies.
