well if it makes you feel better, i have an anecdote for ya. I've been using Kaiou 7.1 for a long time and just recently caved in and decided to use 7.2. But let me tell you. I am impressed. It is fantastic!

If you don't mind me asking, what server/channel are you using Kaiou in?

well at the moment Im trying to get all of my close friends to set up mIRC so we can play, but they are all slow. But the server is espernet and the channel is #amalgam. As the name implies, players can be pretty much anything they want as long as the bot will allow it. For example one of my friends wants to be a brood (dragon from the Breath of Fire video game series) Im sure someone will be a saiya-jin. stuff like that.

I most certainly will. As a matter of fact, I have a question. I was playing around the other day and I gave myself some extra BP like 1000 more taking me to 1450 BP and I didn't do any extra damage. So I took it back to normal and instead gave myself tons of stamina. like 5000 and I did TONS of damage. I guess thats not really a question, but i was assuming it would be the ther way around. Is this supposed to happen? There is a question. lol

The attack damage is based on current stamina / 2 as long as stamina is greater than 0. Thus, the more stamina you have the more damage you'll do.
Not sure why I designed it that way. As you say, it probably should be the other way around. Ah well.

Discovered a minor error while playing around with Kaiou today. It turns out if that if you use AI and the AI monster decides to charge its ki, it will create a blank .zfile in the directory which will later cause an error should you decide to use the / me fulls everyone command.
I've re-uploaded the patch with the correction. However, if you don't want to re-download the entire patch, it's pretty easy to correct yourself. That is, if you haven't added or changed anything to the basic_command ini file.
1) open basic_command.ini 2) go to line 270. 3) change $raise_courage($nick, 5) to $raise_courage($1, 5) 4) go to line 274 5) repeat step 3.
Presto. The AI charging should no longer give you a fake .zfile. Note, that there's another line that has the same thing, but it should be okay to leave alone since it's dealing with realtime battles and not turn battles. AI monsters cannot participate in realtime battles so there should be no errors there.

Ugh. I found another bug dealing with adding SSJ. Currently you are unable to add SSJ Ultra. I've re-uploaded the patch, AGAIN, to fix it. This one, unlike the previous bug, is not as easy to fix by yourself.
I also discovered that I had some pretty poor validation checking when it came to numbers (You could add negative amounts and floating point numbers). I've fixed this as well.
Maybe I should just release the patch again under a different number. lol

Hello! It's been a while, and I return with a question. Really just an opinion thing i guess. I'll use a hypothetical. If someone were say...Gohan and They eventually reach the stage where they are "Mystic" Gohan. How would you handle it? the only thing i could really think of was just leveling them up...a lot. lol Thanks!

For right now you can represent it by just leveling him up a lot. If you want to be somewhat close/clever you can give him a TRANSFORM type boost and call it "Mystic." I'm thinking of releasing a new patch with some new boost types. Mystic, SSJ Legendary (you know, what Brolli was), maybe SSJ4 (even though I dislike it, it IS part of the series overall).. maybe some others. That might give more flexibility to GMs who want to add different boosts for the players. -Edit/Update- 7.2c is done. I'll upload it here in a few. Here's what it'll include. - I've added SSJ Legendary to the bot. It's only slightly under the level of SSJ2 in terms of the boost to the stats (as it was in the show).
- I've added SSJ 4 to the bot. As expected, it's stronger than SSJ 3.
- Mystic is going to be slightly stronger than the "Transform" type boost. It'll be 11.9x your base stats. The benefit of using the Mystic boost is that it takes 0 stamina to activate (unlike transform which takes 15).
- I've added a new boost type called Consume. It's loosely based on Cell's transformation, though it's temporary (unlike Cell). It's only slightly stronger than the anger type boost.
Please remember that you can always add multiple levels for Mystic and Consume like you would with Anger, Transform and the regular Boost powerups.
