This is an archived/backed up post from the other board. As you all know by now, I didn't achieve my 50,000 word limit. I managed to achieve 58% of the novel though, spread through eight chapters.
I AM interested in actually finishing my original idea for the novel..but don't look for its completion any time soon.
-----------
It's the month of November and some of you know what that means. It's NaNoWriMo time.
What's NaNoWriMo?
National Novel Writing Month. Every November writers from all parts of the world set out with a common goal: to write a 50,000 word novel in just 30 days. Think it's impossible? It's only around 1700 words a day (even less, really, I'm rounding up for a nice number). But it does take a lot of dedication.
My entries
All of my entries, past and present, can now be found on my NaNoWriMo Novel Blog. They're on the right.
2005 Entry
In 2005 I started writing a novel called The Life of Tavyan. It didn't get too far, only being 6788 words in length and stopped being written on by the 4th day. Chapter 04 on the page is currently (and will more than likely remain) unfinished.
2008 Entry
This year I decided to try something different. I've got a complete novel in mind and it's loosely based on the first FFRPG campaign I did. The best part is, I'm posting all the chapters online as I write them. So you can see how I'm doing towards the 50,000 word goal.
The novel is titled Shadows of Iwote.
Wish me luck!
And if you're entering NaNoWriMo (though I somehow doubt the few members of this forum are, but I've been surprised before), you can discuss your word totals and/or post links to your novels here.
