This topic serves as a backup to the original one
Welcome to One Life to Live, a pseudo Let's Play type topic in which I will play games that you, yes you, recommend. The catch is, I have to get as far as I can with just ONE LIFE. As soon as that life is gone, it's game over. No retakes, no do-overs. Just that one life.
I'll record my attempts and post them here for everyone to see. Then you guys can try to outdo me by doing the same thing.
I don't know what prize there is for getting the furthest, but we'll figure something out.

HOW DO I RECORD VIDEOS??
Fraps doesn't work with any of the console emulators that I've found. So you'll need to do something different. Here's what we have figured out:
For ZSNES: You'll have to follow the instructions on this page to record your SNES attempts (or try to use Virtual Dub). Let me save you some time/trouble hunting down the encoder: mplayer2008.02.06.7z
For NES: Download and use FCEUX. First off, load the game you want to record and then file->record movie. Play through until you die. file->stop movie. Now you're ready to play it back and record the avi. file->replay movie (select your movie, start it). The second the movie starts, file->Record AVI. When your movie stops you'll have to stop the AVI recording manually (file->stop avi). Congratulations.
