I have been trying to find a certain book I somewhat remember reading about ten or so years ago. What I know of the book is that there was a young woman from either England or New York. I know she went to a taxadermy (sp?) and then went through a portal or something to a different world. Also, there was a man and his skin had some sort of map on it leading to a place. Wondering if anyone would happen to know what it is or have read it. I'll look in my dad's collection to see if he still has it.
On another note, can anyone recommend any other books or series to read? Kind of getting tired of all these Star Wars books and want to read some other things, heh.

I have no idea what book that is.. I know its not The Dark Tower series of books by Stephen King, but it sounds similar.. You should read those if you get the chance.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure my dad has all of them currently so I'll get to those soon. I'll probably read the Harry Potter books too.

The only book I've read recently has been Eragon, which I'd recommend. There's another part coming out later this year. @_@ Gotta get it. The basic plot is: a boy and his dragon. I don't want to spoil anything else, but it deals with dragons. Scott would probably like it.

I'll get it if I see it (Since there is the bookstore in the mall and then a used book store too that has tons of books).

Not that I know of. Of course the one in the mall does, but it's about the same as in Clovis.
