This game is a godly... Have spent hours playing this game and never gotten. The Game play is good, It's free roaming for you can do the missions anything you want... except when the police are after you. Wait wait before I go into that I wannt start with the concept and story of the game. You're a japanese street gang, you can pick any of the three starting characters and later as you build up popularity other people join. Anyways you go around Graffiti'ing everything. It's a great game everyone missed so it's really cheap.. I got it for 6 bucks...

Well I never played it....
It always looked slightly interesting, but my hate for all things that remind me of wannabe gangster people made me dislike it and all its grafitti spraying premise.
Plus what the hell is up with the radio guy telling everyone to rebel and paint stuff? I mean doesn't he have a better way of rebellion than telling people to run around and paint stuff? why not shoot people or blow up government buildings? (great now I sound like a terrorist, when really it's my grand theft auto addiction speaking..ah well.)
Okay, maybe instead of the violence, you could have a sign this petition sheet game, where you could sign a piece of paper, watch it go through all the crap that petitions go through, eventually become some sort of bill get to congress only to be gunned down by people that like musty old laws... wouldn't that be fun?!
I guess that wouldn't be very fun now would it?
ah well. Thats why Im not a game designer... (goes to spray paint his cat.)

I love this game because If isn't one of these Devil may cry 2 beat the game in one sitting deals... It love games that are really hard. And as for the gang part.. It's not like "Yo, motherf'er!" It's more like "Don't mess with my people!" It's not grand theft Auto

I too love a challenge (gitaroo man on master mode), as well as a game that lasts longer than 2 hours. and I know that it's not Grand Theft auto-like at all.
I assumed that it wasn't completely Gangsta like, because it used bright colors, it seemed to lack bouncy lowriders or rice rockety nitro cars and all other gangstery dumbness except for maybe the music, which I could just mute..
I suppose the Idea of spray painting everything just doesnt apeal to me, which is most likely the main reason I have yet to play it or probably ever will play it. Plus, its on the now dead dreamcast, and nigh impossible to find.

Correct me if i'm wrong but the game on dreamcast was Jet Grind Radio. Jet Set Radio Future is on Xbox, the box o' evil.

Okay, so what I said was about the first one. Most of what I said will apply to the sequel as well, save for the hard to find part and the dreamcast part. Actually I heard the sequel wasn't as good as the first, but I wouldn't know cause I never played either..
