Ok, for those who live under a rock, Grindhouse was 2 seperate movies (Death Proof and Planet Terror) that played in the theatres together as one long feature. They were horror/sci-fi wierd movies that paid homage to old 70's type film noir style films like car chase movies, old horror flicks, and shaft style flicks. Anyhow, for some reason they released them seperately on DVD.. I suppose to make more money. Reguardless here's my review on either.
Death Proof
So yeah this was the first release, and thus I watched it first. WHee! I state the obvious, reguardless, here goes the review.
Story: A few girls get together and go to a bar for a night of fun, it is there that they meet Stuntman Mike, and at first he seems just kind of wierd, as it progresses they find that he's insane! Whee! Something really cool happens, then we flash back to years earlier and 4 different girls encounter Stuntman Mike, however the results are far different.
Good: HOLY CRAP The car chases and crashes!! Even though they are few, they are great! The end was pretty good as well.
Bad: Until the car stuff, its booooooooring. (like 23 minutes of yawn.)
What The?!: Why destroy a perfectly awesome car? WHY!?
anyway I'll reveiw Planet Terror later.. cya!

Yeah, they would sell them both separate for more money, plus I think I see why Death Proof was released first. <.<
Anyway, I did see Grindhouse in theaters, then I forgot to post about it. (Oops.) Yeah, I'll agree with what you said about it. Also, the fake trailers were nice too. (I think they put some of them on this one, and the rest on the Planet Terror dvd.)

a very late reply, but yeah, there was only one or two trailers for either film (the fake ones) I heard there were quite a few, but I only recall seeing the one for Machette, and I think one other. I was sad that they weren't actually on the discs. Maybe I overlooked it somehow?
