Looking for a new game to play Yesterday, I gave DQ8 a rent (not Dairy Queen 8. mmmmm.. Daiiiiry..) I can't quite give a full reveiw of it since I haven't beaten it, and am still almost at the beginning.. but I'll say this.. I haven't lost sleep over a game in sometime, and I've been up since 1AM playing this one. (yes I haven't slept yet.) Although most of my playing was leveling up since I couldn't locate the next thing to do in the story line (stupid damn little hiding rat hole!!)
I think I've played it for about 10 hours now And everyone is level 12 or Higher. (Think that the main Character and the other guy are both 15) Just about to get the last member of the Party (heard there were just the 4.)
Anyway YAY! So far this is a FUUUUUUN game. (challenging too.)

Feel free to post your progress in the Dragon Quest VIII thread. And yeah.. the game rocks. Even though I haven't touched it in awhile.

I really need to play DQ8 again. I blame Iyou for making me play Zelda again, plus I blame Metroid Prime Hunters and Mega Man X Collection. <.<

I haven't lost sleep over a game in sometime, and I've been up since 1AM playing this one. (yes I haven't slept yet.) DQ8 is one of those games that you pick up and before you know it it's 7AM the next morning. It's just so fun and there's so much to do that time travels really quickly. That's the fun thing about great RPGs I guess. I still need to beat the game, I last left off at the last "dungeon" but I had to go focus on other things instead. The sad thing is knowing that even though there will be a "Kid Yangus" game coming out, we won't see these particular characters again for the next DQ game. Oh well, so it goes.

I think I left off at where you have to go find the Moonshadow Harp, or soemthing like that.

I left off at the Dragon Graveyard (or whatever it's called). I hate how you can't zoom there and have to walk the entire way every time. That's probably why I stopped playing it.

Lol You can zoom places?! No wonder my levels were so damned high.

lol if you raise Courage up a bit for the hero he learns Zoom and I think Angelo learns it too (once you get him). So yeah, that's basically the game's teleport thing. It helps when you're almost dead and need to get back to a church or a town quickly without risking a thousand fights.

lol That's what I did too. You'll thank yourself later for that, when you get to Dhoulmagus. Even at level 31 he's freakin hard. (All the guides on the net say recommended level is around 29 or 30, but I say 35 is probably where you need to be)
