Like people wouldn't just lie about their ages to bypass that? An Internet Safety Course would be an interesting course to have to take though. They could teach people a lot about keeping their computers safe from spyware/viruses too.

Yeah, that would be good since I know a lot of people don't even realize how easy it is to get that stuff if you're not careful.

Like people wouldn't just lie about their ages to bypass that? Actually they have some sort of age verification thing right now where you just put in your birthdate...so my thirteen year old cousin put down that he was 19, as did all his other friends. XP I'm thinking more along the lines of that you must give them your college email address to have access. That's what they do with the facebook.com and it works fine. It'll probably shun away everyone who doesn't have a college email address...but that might be a good thing.

Not all colleges offer a college email address though. I know mine doesn't (granted it's a CC, but still). But as you said, it's probably a good thing if you can weed out a lot of people. Oh look. What a coincidence I found this news article right as we're talking about this. Facebook ViolationsComments are funny... and some shed light. Apparently some students posted pics of them drinking some alcohol and the school officials saw the pictures and busted the students.

Haha, yikes. It's stupid on behalf of the students, but on the other hand the school shouldn't be able do anything to them unless they busted them drinking on the spot. That's like giving a parking violation to someone who already drove away.

<Officer> "I'm sorry, but I need to give this parking violation ticket to you!"
<Person> "But that was a year ago when it happened!"

Director is shot during an interview, shrugs it off: www.hollywood.com/news/detail/id/3478770Herzog Shot During Interview
By WENN|Friday, February 03, 2006
HOLLYWOOD - German director Werner Herzog was shot by a crazed fan during a recent interview with the BBC. The 63-year-old was chatting with movie journalist Mark Kermode about his documentary Grizzly Man, when a sniper opened fire with an air rifle.
Kermode explains, "I thought a firecracker had gone off.
"Herzog, as if it was the most normal thing in the world, said, 'Oh, someone is shooting at us. We must go.'
"He had a bruise the size of a snooker ball, with a hole in. He just carried on with the interview while bleeding quietly in his boxer shorts."
An unrepentant Herzog insisted, "It was not a significant bullet. I am not afraid." That's pretty darn cool. Even when someone is trying to assassinate him he shrugs it off and goes about his business. This guy is the next Chuck Norris to fawn over!
