I finished episode 36. Episode 31 is probably one of the best they've had yet. That ep had me laughing pretty loud. Poor Kawachi. And I found out that Anime Empire is way behind on the subbing. They're on episode 52 (right?). Meanwhile in Japan they finished airing episode 61 this week. That means AE is almost a full ten episodes behind. And to think that we used to complain when Lunar got more than two eps behind. X__x Raw episodes can be found at #l33t-raws if you really just have to see it before AE subs it (and at this rate it might be awhile).

I wont be seeing anything for a long time. I have no computer and also no HI-speed internet, on top of that Darkan is moving to Maine, Wednesday, so I won't see it through him anymore either.

Finished episode 40. CURSE YOU YAKITATE! Look what you made me do! Yes, this show made me want to make bread so badly that I actually did it. My first attempt at making French bread. Woo! Tastes great, even if the shape is a little.. off. Rest of the photos are here

So I decided to try again, this time doing a bit of a variation. The end result is what looks like above and tastes more like a biscuit rather than a piece of bread. Also, although the garlic flavor danced lightly in the air throughout the house during baking, the bread itself has very little of a garlic taste. Despite this, the after taste was pure garlic, which I found rather weird. Overall it doesn't taste bad. The creation process came out so much better this time. I proofed the yeast for a full ten minutes this time, as opposed to last time which was little to none, and after the initial two cups of flour I used my own judgement for saying when it had enough to move on. The first rise was pure success. It expanded at least double in size, something it didn't do last time. It may have helped that I had heated the oven up slightly (not even 100 degrees) and stored it in there for the rise, as opposed to sitting on the counter (I don't think the kitchen was warm enough last time). The only thing I think I can improve on with this recipe is trying to figure out a way to make it look darker without burning it (it does look rather light). And perhaps maybe figure out a way to make the garlic flavor stronger. There is one thing to be said of my bread though: it leaves you wanting more after having had some. Having eaten a piece over ten minutes ago my mouth is still watering and I'd love to go and have some more. Unfortunately my wisdom teeth are hurting so bad that I can no longer eat (it was extremely painful to eat what little I tried). Too bad, so sad, for me. :\

LOL I Wanted to actually make bread too. I haven't done it yet. lol No oven so.. I actually laughed at your bread! It looks good! I'll give you a real challenge though, I want you to make a bread that has no sugar, and no white flour that still will make me scream UMEEEE!! and have delusional bouts of good taste fits and rabid hallucinations of people dancing on the moon or surfing on a giant wave of beans. Make me some for A-kon that I can use for Cosplaying.
About your wisdom teeth. I know you haven't been able too, but damn! I thought you'd have found someway to fix them. I remember seeing the X-rays of them (seeing them growing in Sideways..) when we went to the dentist's office that time when you got your PS2. You REALLY need to get them out or something man.. ack.
I want some of your bread now... that sounds strange....uh..bye now.

Yeah, I REALLY do need to get them out. One of these days when I can afford it, I will. In the meantime, I'll just have to stick to liquid foods until the pain goes away in a week or so and I can return to normal food.
As for your challenge... using wheat flour would take care of the first part..but sugar is generally used to feed the yeast and get them active again. It might be difficult to make a bread without it. Hmm... it can probably be done though.

We should raise a "Get Iyou's Wisdom Teeth Removed" fund. ¬_¬
I'm with ya on the pain. It can get quite unbearable once in a while... The doctor told me that compared to a gum graft it's actually much more comfortable. After having a gum graft two years ago I can assure you then that getting them out will be a relief. (Well, I'll see if that's true by Spring Break.)
That bread looks delicious. ;_;
Gah...I've gotta watch more Yakitate. I'm up to episode 36... I like how they make Pierrot look kind of like a jerk but when he has his flashbacks he's a really nice person. Yakitate has great characterization.

Brought up the pain with family.. they agree that I need to see a dentist and may help out since we know it's going to be extemely expensive. I mean, it was supposed to have been done five years ago.... and it's only been getting worse each progressing year. So it'll probably cost an arm to get them out. Anyway.. back to bread. If you take my after-taste garlic bread (I call it Iyoupan #1) and slice off a piece, take that piece and slice it in half (or open) and put some butter and garlic powder on it, take that and put it on a baking pan, put that pan in the oven which is preheated to 250 degrees and leave it in for about 8 minutes you will get GREAT tasting garlic bread. Even with extremely painful teeth I managed to eat some of it. As for Yakitate!! Japan, I'm now on episode (special) 48-49. Almost caught up to what AE has subbed. I guess when I catch up I'll start downloading the raws. And I feel like Kawachi now. He always has such hair problems...and now I'm having hair issues. I had my hair cut but she cut it too close. I almost wanna put an afro on and go into work just to see if they ask who I am. Buwhahaha. -Edit- Finished episode 52. One more and I'll be caught up with the sub. :\
