If you're wondering where to get Kaiou (of various versions) and DORKS you're at the right spot. Here you'll find the links to all various Kaiou/DORKS related things. If the links are not working, scroll to the bottom of this post and read what I have to say.

KAIOU 7.3
To continue to celebrate over a decade of Kaiou, a new version has been released. This version introduces a brand new method of battle turn order (based on the players' speed) and weather, which the DM can set and will enhance spells. Of course this version also continues to fix minor bugs and increase error detection/enhancing various things. Enjoy!

Kaiou Popups version 3.2.0
KAIOU 7.2, 7.2b, 7.2c & 7.2d
Kaiou 7.2 is the newest patch/release of the Kaiou Battle Bot. There are currently two releases of this patch, a "Complete" version that contains every file in order to run Kaiou for the first time (i.e. without downloading every patch that exists). But for those who have been keeping up with the patches, there's a version ("lite") that only contains the updated files for this version. Download whichever you need.
But enough about that. WHAT'S NEW? Lots of stuff! Kaiou 7.2 adds a new CAPSULE feature to the bot! Now winners of battles may have a random chance of being rewarded with a capsule that will unlock different things. There's also a command to add multiple technique descriptions for those who want to spice up their characters a little bit, a new weapon type ("claw"), some minor tweaking to help balance things out and, as always, various bug fixes. Overall, this may be one of the stronger versions of the bot and I feel it's finally approaching what it should have always been.

Kaiou Popups version 3.1.9
The evolution of Kaiou continues with an unexpected patch, 7.2b. This patch completely revamps the gun/ammo system making it more realistic with clips and reloading. It also adds the internal courage system (that can be turned/off by bot owners and Kaiou-level players) that will affect a character's ability to attack. It also adds the taunt command that will cause one of three things to happen, as well as a few bug fixes that were found after 7.2's release. As always check patches.txt within the documentation folder for all the details.

As a Happy New Year to all those people who continue to download and use Kaiou, I decided to upload a quick patch. This patch addresses a few minor bugs (which I won't really get into here) and adds a few new boost types for those GMs who just want to give something different to players. Added are: SSJ Legendary (what level of SSJ Brolli was in the movies), SSJ 4, Mystic (what Gohan achieved in the Buu arc of Z), and Consume (based on Cell's transformations, only temporary instead of permanent). Please remember that you can always add multiple levels for Mystic and Consume like you would with Anger, Transform and the regular Boost powerups.

And almost two years later after releasing 7.2c comes yet another version of this bot. It's the year 2010 so why not celebrate with a new patch that will fix two bugs and add a new tech type? The new tech type is called "raise" and has the ability to bring back a fallen comrade to half hp/stamina.

KAIOU 7.0, 7.1b, & 7.1c
Kaiou 7.0 has been updated from Kaiou 6.6+ so that it will now run on the newest versions of mIRC. To coders this is good news as it will allow much more flexibility and new options. To the general public it's also good news as it means you don't have to go hunt down an obsecure out-of-date version that may not even work on your machine. Please note that there's a few important things you must know before downloading and using this version.
KAIOU 7.0 MUST BE INSTALLED TO A CLEAN PATH. If you're using an older version of Kaiou, I recommend changing C:\Kaiou\ to something else before downloading/installing this version. DO NOT mix versions! This is very important.
OLD ZFILES WILL NOT WORK! They're not compatable. Older zfiles will cause a lot of errors. Sorry to you current Kaiou RPG GMs, but it's probably a lot easier to just start over.
Note that my #DBZRPG MUD is included in the Kaiou 7.0 Complete package. You can download version 3.1.5 of the popups here. They will work with Kaiou 7.0
A Kaiou 7.0 manual IS planned at the moment, though it's unknown when it will be written/released.

The Kaiou 7.1 Patch adds the ability to have multiple status effects going at the same time, the ability to knock someone out of the air, a new tech type, the "Auto Charge" system, better XP rates, and a few fairly important bug fixes. Note that in order to use this patch you will have to download Kaiou 7.0 complete first, then install the patch into the same directory. Do not have Kaiou running when you install patches.

The Kaiou 7.1b Patch fixes a few bugs that were found after 7.1 had been released. It is highly recommend that everyone upgrade to this version.
Kaiou 7.1b Patch
The Kaiou 7.1c Patch fixes several few bugs that were found in the rushed 7.1b patch (and several that have been in the system for ages) in addition to adding a few goodies: a command to let monsters fly, a new tech type ("ranged"), Elemental Immunities/Weaknesses/Strengths, and other things. Be sure to download and patch your Kaiou and read the patch information for more details. NOTE: This version also replaces the old Kaiou "equipment.lst" "items.lst" and "accessories.lst" with updated versions. If you have added your own equipment, accessories, or items, be sure to copy your version out before patching so that you don't lose your work.
There is also an update to the popups for this version, which hopefully adds many commands that were missing (and updates some of the menus).
Kaiou 7.1c Patch

KAIOU 6.6+ and older versions
These are older versions of Kaiou or Kaiou-related files. Note that you shouldn't mix old files and new (i.e. don't mix Kaiou 6.6+ with Kaiou 7.0 and expect it to work, because it won't--same with popups/window script and the MUD). IMPORTANT: For downloading this version of Kaiou please remember to download it and the patches in the correct order (and install each one at a time, don't skip any versions):
1. Kaiou 6.0e Complete
2. 6.5 Patch
3. 6.6+ Patch
The 6.5 Popups and the Window Script (unfinished) will work with version 6.6+ as well. Note that neither will work with version 7.0 as the code is too different. Also, both are used for the client side, not the bot's (in case you were unaware). They should help out with learning the commands and make viewing stats easier.

I also decided to release the Kaiou 6.6+ NEW MUD for the public. It wasn't originally going to be a public release, so to be honest I don't recall how "user friendly" it is, but I did write up a txt file that explains how to set up various new aspects of the MUD (though I recommend only the brave of heart to mess with it). Note also that it only works with version 6.6+ (which, you're using..right?)

These next versions of Kaiou are INI only (no exe is included). In order to run them you'll need to use the dbzbot.exe from Kaiou 6.0e Complete (in other words: version 5.3 to verson 5.6 of mIRC). I cannot promise that these will work at all. I'm only uploading and hosting them here for people who are interested in seeing how Kaiou has evolved over the years. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME ABOUT THESE! Ever.

Here's an older version of the DBZRPG popups. I honestly don't know which versions these popups will work for. I'm going to guess and say between version 4.0 and 6.0 but, again, I simply don't know. Download them if you want to try out the older versions and maybe you'll get lucky.

KAIOU Tools
Here is where Kaiou-related programs will be stored. Right now there are two, both are Kaiou updaters. The first is the most recent updater I've written (in C#) and the other is a program I wrote in 2002 in Visual basic 6.0. I highly recommend the C# version. Don't ask me to update or fix the VB version as I don't have VB6 anymore.

DORKS 1.0
DORKS is incomplete and is likely to remain that way forever. Many of the "special" and "new" things that I programmed for DORKS were adapated (and sometimes even upgraded) for Kaiou 7.0. But I'll include the incomplete source code for anyone who wants it. Just remember that there's still a few errors in it (that I found while using it for Kaiou 7.0) but I won't be going back to fix them.

Other "Kaiou" versions
These are spinoffs and/or reduced versions that I once made for the public. Again, no exe is included so you'll have to find one (just be sure it's version 5.6). And once again, I don't know if these will work at all so don't ask about them. They're up for archive purposes.

DISCLAIMER: Kaiou and DORKS are "as is." This project is old and I don't have time to keep helping people with it. HOWEVER, if you're using version 7.0 and encounter a serious error, email me about it (see below for my email address). If you're using an older version, you'll just have to figure it out yourself or post a comment here and maybe you'll get the help you need. Please don't expect me to walk you through getting it up and running, especially with an older version.
